Came on a Saturday night at around 6:30pm. Added my name to the yelp waitlist and found that as were 30th in line. We didn't get seated till 8pm. So to pass time, we went across the street to do some grocery shopping at the Korean supermarket. We ordered a 3 person premium set and a small cold noodle. Total was $180 with tax/tip. And since we did get seated late, they were running out of banchans. We got half filled banchans dishes. And when we asked for seconds, they were out : Quality 5/5) everything was fresh and quality. From the little things like the pears in the cold noodle to the meat itself. This is what sets this restaurant apart from the rest. And you can really taste the difference. They also drench the meat in marinades, they just like the quality of meats speak for itself. Taste 4.9/5) meat melts in your mouth and all the side dishes complement the meat so nicely! Dip all the meat in the given sauces, wrap it with the noodle paper and the salad. Had to subtract .1 points because sometimes the meat wasn't cooked well. The egg soufflé was my favorite, but make sure to eat it right away. The fluffiness and richness of the eggs blew my mind. Best way to have eggs!! The best combo is the noodle wrapper with a bit of kimchi, salad and a slice of meat. Dip it in the seasame oil and chili sauce. And you'll be in heaven. You get all the textures and flavors you could ever want in a bite. Dreaming about the day I go back for this. Cold noodles were not an after thought. The slushie broth was just right and it came with all the fixings. Noodles were bouncy, had the right about of pear, meat, egg ratio. It goes so well with the fatty kbbq we had. Service 3/5) overall the service was fine. However there were some mediocre interactions as well some servers don't know how to properly cook the meat. For our boneless short ribs, the younger male server grilled the short ribs to look like it was just boiled, no char. Another server saw the meat and cranked up the meat for a better char. And it happen with 2 of our other meats as well. A different server dropped some of the raw brisket into our banchans and serving plates. Picked it up and continued cooking. I was thinking she'd replace these banchans and plates that were touched. But nope! I had to ask. 5 min later, after some asking we got them replaced. Despite mediocre service, the food makes up for it. And I would 100% come back.
Always a walk in Korean restaurant to which I like to go when I have some Korean cold noodles or a few bibimbap. they also have a la carte kbbq menu.
My father put me in this Korean BBQ joint when I was a little girl and decades later, I still enjoy eating here recommended not ayce -any.
When I found out that my favorite Korean BBQ place was closed (Light Town House), there was a dramatic "nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo We gave to the new restaurant, which in its place produced an attempt, but it did not meet our expectations. Fortunately, we are in Garden Grove and Korean BBQ places are more common than 20 years old blondes in Hugh Hefner's bed. After a small research I discovered Mo Ran Gak BBQ at Garden Grove Blvd had quite a full parking lot. Hustle and Bustle are always a good sign. So we decided to try and thank God we did. My Korean BBQ torch was handed over to them. Steamed egg pot. A more fun way to eat scrambled eggs. Bubbling tofu soup. Tofu tends to really keep this hot temperature. So it's all really fast! Bubbling Tofu Soup Mool Naeng Myun. Say that five times. For those who did not have it, his noodles served in an ice-cold broth. Chewiness of buckwheat noodles and ice-cold B
