The Wild Crab - Garden Grove

I stumbled upon this restaurant while searching for something new and initially felt a bit skeptical. The interior, adorned with graffiti (customers are allowed to write on the walls), came across as somewhat over-the-top and a touch tacky. The music was also too loud and had a strange selection. However, we were greeted promptly and seated right away. The staff was attentive and quick to take our order. We started with the happy hour oysters on the half shell, which were fresh and delicious. The menu offered a good variety of options. The edamame made for a great appetizer, and the beer was served ice cold. I ordered a seafood combo meal, and the portion size was impressive. The garlic shrimp pasta was also a great choice. Overall, it’s a nice spot to enjoy seafood in a casual atmosphere.

The food was excellent, and the prices were quite reasonable. The staff were very accommodating, and the atmosphere was enjoyable for the kids as well.

The service was excellent, and the seafood was perfectly cooked. The dishes were delicious and served quickly, making it an ideal choice for a pre-show dinner at the Gem Theatre.

A fun place with good food, just plan ahead and know that you'll be eating with your hands. We had the combo with crab. It wS great! Put on your bible and di etc in. You have to cracking it yourself along with the jumbo shrimp and crawfish. Everything tasted great. Give it a try You'll be glad you did.
