The broth was rich and hearty, with lovely bits of fat that added to the flavor. It came with two pieces of chashu, which seemed like the perfect amount. The noodles had a nice chewy texture, which I really enjoy. Although I initially thought the bowl was small, I found it quite filling—I was almost too full after just this one bowl!
The service here is very friendly, and the food is excellent. I will definitely return!
To succeed in the highly competitive South Bay ramen scene, you need to serve up great ramen, and Takumiya certainly meets that standard with their outstanding tonkotsu option. My only critique is that the egg was fully hard-boiled; it would have been better with a slightly runny yolk. Additionally, the seating against the wall has a wooden trim that digs into your back—some padding would be a nice touch. On the plus side, parking was ample, and the prices were very reasonable. Don’t forget to leave some space for the flan!
The food is authentic, fresh, affordable, and generous in portions! The staff is fantastic. It's a cozy, family-friendly ramen restaurant!
This is the perfect late-night spot, featuring customized music videos—I enjoyed some great '90s R&B. The ramen here is fantastic and truly delicious!
