This Wednesday, December 18, 2019, took place at the Cafétéria du Cora de Garges lès Gonesse, the 5th edition of Operation 1 toy 1 meal, organized by the Youth Service of the city, in partnership with Guillaume Gomez, who has been active in the kitchens of the Élysée since 1997, kitchens of which he became the Chef in 2013. Under his patronage, Chefs Gilles Angoulvent, Bruno Lonfier and Marc Souali were also present, effectively assisted by a promising young apprentices from Gargeois. The principle of the operation: every gourmet of the day must, in order to enjoy the gourmet meal concocted by the chefs, bring a new toy with a value equal to or greater than 10€. Those who present themselves without being aware of the event, can still taste this lunch by buying for 10€, one of the toys from the stock placed at their disposal on a large table in the service area of the Cafeteria, toy that they offer after being placed in cash. All these toys are intended to be offered at the People’s Help so that there are less children without Christmas toys. This charity meal represents a great opportunity to feast while doing good action. The tables were covered with Christmas-colored tablecloths, where glasses, forks, knives, small spoons, glasses and carafes were waiting for guests. Today on the menu were offered: in the entrance two nuts of Saint Jacques on the bed of leeks and cream carrots with seafood cocktail in the dish three brochettes (2 with two pieces of salmon, and 1 with a gambas) of which 2 are covered with sesame seeds, accompanied by a crushed potato and a creamy apple sauce in dessert a small rectangular plate with a whipped toe on caramel filaments The entrance was delicious, but in the resistance dish, the gambas was a little too cooked and the sesame salmon skewer missed taste, even by dipping it in the sauce. The crushed potato was very good, as well as dessert, but we were disappointed to see that the ice ball came from a Cora ice cap, because we expected that the whole meal would be from the "Do Maison". Overall, we enjoyed our meal, and we say a great BRAVO! To the Chefs, to their brigade of the day, to the volunteers of the People's Help and the Youth Service of Garges lès Gonesse for their involvement in bringing a little joy to the poorest children during these holidays.
Having come to shopping at the Cora Shopping Centre at lunchtime and having little time, I took a sandwich/dessert/drink formula at the Cora Croustillant counter at the Cafétéria in the shopping centre. My chicken/crudity sandwich was generously garnished, but the chicken inside was dry and fade. My millefeuille was good, but his glazing was soft. Given my condition for two days after this lunch on my thumb, I have great doubts about the freshness and conditions of food conservation at this counter.
The cashier does not know his products, is mistaken in the order and in addition treats the client as a liar, another client tells him what his property is wrong in the order but does not apologize.
A simple lunch without chichi, (from chicken in sauce), without any more taste and the waitress had put me too much sauce. The room not top level agency, furniture a little oldillots. The price of the dish I had chosen was not proportional to the taste.I would recommend this dish if no other alternatives....
