Lodge Am Hausberg

This is not for Gourmets but there are plenty of food options to chose from. We liked the atmosphere in a midsize secluded beergarden. The kids could play table football, we will be back.

We like to take advantage of Lodge am Hausberg's specials, schnitzel night or burger night in particular, whenever we're in Garmisch. They consistently deliver good food (burgers, schnitzel, and the cheese spaetzle is yummy too), good service, and a relaxing environment.

Close to the Hausbergbahn and walking trails you´ll find this casual Gasthaus with a nice Biergarden, relaxed and friendly young service team some of them fluent in English with great specials like the Schnitzeltag or the Burgertag Euros only The sustantial meals...tase very well. Great value. Big parking lot.

Outdoor seating. Excellent food. Our favorite local hangout in Garmisch! Steak and shrimp salad well priced and well prepared.

So, I read that this place was number one on trip advisor, so I thought that I should try it. I ordered the pepper sirloin steak (med well) and it came out maybe med at best. The flavor of the steak was good, but the...salad I ordered and the sides were not good at all. I read the the pork knuckle is very good here, so I may try it before I leave. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing??? The service was so so...
