Some days you may receive a generous portion of hot fries, while other days you may only get a few cold fries and an undercooked chicken sandwich. It's a mixed bag, with a 50/50 chance of having a good meal.
I would like to give this restaurant another chance since it's the only one near my house. However, I can't shake off the memory of my last visit when they got my order wrong twice. Furthermore, when I informed them that I received chicken nuggets that I did not order, they actually requested them back! Instead of accepting a refund, I was appalled by their actions of taking food back from customers. This is unacceptable and I am aware that this goes against restaurant regulations.
I typically enjoy eating at Cookout, but this was my worst experience at the restaurant. I ordered a 2 corn dog tray with cheese bites as my sides, but when I opened the container, there were hardly any cheese bites. My partner ordered 2 hotdogs with relish, mustard, and ketchup, along with cheese bites as the sides, but they received chili and mustard on their hotdogs, fries as their side, and only 7 cheese bites. The drive-thru staff also had trouble understanding our order and even after correcting them, they still got it wrong. I would advise against visiting this location and wasting your time and money.
Setting aside the unpleasantness of the person who took my order (it was pouring down rain and he was obvious with respect to his annoyance as I struggled to stay dry while I ordered), this wasn't a good first-attempt at a Cookout. The burger was supposed to be a double with cheddar, bacon, and hold the onion. What I got was a sad-single, way too much cheese sauce, one lonely slice of bacon, and disappointment. The sole upside was the sides (Cajun fries and the cheese bites), because they were total winners. Well seasoned, cooked just right, and flavorful.3/5 stars and I probably wouldn't recommend Cookout to anyone, because it basically left me feeling like a visit to a poorly staffed Wendy's, only with extra steps leading to disappointment.
What a joke. I was missing an item, he asked for a receipt, I provided a receipt, I still didn't get my item. He asked me to SHOW him I was MISSING AN ITEM. How the hell can I PROVE IM MISSING AN ITEM. Trash service. Trash food.
