It's a great place to hang out and eat in if you have time. We ordered Buffalo fries which was delicious. Nice crunch then topped with cheese and Buffalo sauce. The burgers were amazing. Both boys enjoyed their burgers. My only disappointment was the brisket sandwich. The brisket wasn't the best. I was told that the brisket was freshly made so I felt that I had to order it but I wish it was much more tender.
Our family ate here a few years ago, upon our return this month we are glad to see a huge facelift. New interior design and layout, we love the casual bar setting as you enter. Their taste and flavor hasn't changed a bit, and that's a good thing. Huge, savory portions, the best burgers this side of Union County. I ordered their Bonzo and replaced their chickpea patty with turkey. More protein, less guilt :
Me And my bf wanted a really good burger and found this spot on Google. We came from Staten Island and we were not let down. The food was AMAZING, from the milkshake to the fried pickles , and the burger.... well worth the trip across the bridge. Hands down best burgers in New Jersey. 10/10 must try
No frills BBQ, burgers, hotdogs, fries. I like the simplicity of the place and the food was fantastic. The grill master took pride in his art and it didn 't go unnoticed. I saw the energy he put into making sure everything was cooked perfectly.... it was refreshing. Now with that said, even though it is a walk up counter and no wait service... I didn 't feel exactly welcome. The guy that rang us up ... I couldn 't help but feel like I was bothering him when we ordered. Listen I know where I 'm walking into... I 'm not expecting the red carpet rolled out (lol) but a smile goes a long way and him as well as the chef were very straight faced and cool. I also asked him if I can have cheese on my fries and the response he gave me was no...we don 't really do that here ... but then later looking at other patrons reviews they did some brisket, gravy cheese fries? Not sure why he didn 't wanna charge me a few bucks more to put some cheddar on mine. I will be back when I want bbq and ONLY because the food was good, and the quality was good... farm raised, no antibiotic grass fed ALL THAT. There is no place in the area that tops the quality they are offering. I just don 't think it will hurt them to turn off the do not disturb and turn on the thank you come again
I'm a longtime follower of the Loaded story. Been a Facebook follower forever, remember the old location and have kept up with news. Yet, I never visited until just the other day. Three and half years of talking about going. Lame but true. And now that I have gone, I doubt I will be back. My son and I stopped in the other day. We ordered up front from a gentleman who barely said a word. We took a seat in a greasy, hole in a wall type seating area and waited. I ordered a rare burger with caramelized onions and pulled pork fries. My son ordered chicken fingers and fries. Food was ready quickly. My burger was medium and had very little taste. The onions were cold. Uproot in Warren serves a superior burger. My pulled pork fries were good and made better by the excellent bbq sauce available up front. My son's chicken was good but my son's fries were overloaded with salt. Looked like a snowstorm had hit the fries. He likes a lot of salt but he'll learn. We ate quickly, paid our bill up front. The employee ringing me up chose to chat on the phone instead of thanking us for coming by. Not cool in my book. Another spot ticked off the list. Next..
