Schlotzsky's - Gastonia

Wanting a lighter meal other than a burger, I ordered the Small Original. Sourdough bread with ham, salami, olives, 3 cheeses, lettuce, onion, tomato, mustard, signature sause. Didn't see any olives. It was smaller than I expected, yet was quite tasty. Got chips drink combo. All totaled $11.55 with tax. It cost quite a bit to eat out these days. The restaurant was clean and staffed with very pleasant people. I'd recommend. Service: Dine in

Harold is one of the kindest people we have met in the food industry in a long time. He created a magical visit for us and helped us when the app messed up our order! They have the best gluten free sandwiches ever! My son and I are both celiac. We do not have a Schlotsky’s near us. So when we go, we get a sandwich to eat and another to save till tomorrow! Yummy! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

If Harold isn’t teaching folks how to do customer service right, he should be! Grabbed a pizza to go here a few weeks ago in an hurry between meetings, and he provided some of the best customer service I’ve had in a while. Didn’t get aggravated by my (hunger-induced) indecisiveness. Asked me questions, provided guidance based on my response, and was super upbeat and friendly to boot. This was my first time visiting a Schlotzsky’s in YEARS. I think the pizza dough recipe has changed (it used to be the best as a kid but was kind of bland this go around), but the customer service was exceptional! Will definitely visit again!
