Moti Mahal - Gateshead

The food at this restaurant is excellent. While Shohid is no longer with the business, the current owners have really put effort into every order I have made. I cannot find any faults with the food. The current owners know Shohid well and their food is 100% better than the previous owners who tried to run Motimahal.

I just tried the chicken prawn madras and it was nothing like a traditional madras - very mild and disappointing. I won't be ordering it again.

I received a flyer in my mailbox yesterday and decided to try the tandoori wings with salad and sauce. However, when my order arrived, it was missing the salad and sauce. The wings seemed more mushy than marinated and cooked in a tandoor. The Prawn Karai sauce was supposed to have a strong coriander flavor, but there was no trace of coriander and the prawns were overcooked and chewy. I was very disappointed with the dish. On a positive note, the food arrived hot and early, delivered by a friendly driver.

Just as nice even after the change in owners, food arrived extremely quickly and was all perfect! Highly reccomend

Certainly not the same. Went right down hill since changed hands. Currys not as nice and customer service terrible
