Chocolats Favoris - Gatineau

Wow! The ice cream here is seriously impressive. The portions are huge! The chocolate coating is thick and rich, a far cry from the thin shell you’d find at places like Dairy Queen. I ordered a mini s’mores cone for my 3-year-old, and it was gigantic; he didn’t even come close to finishing it. I opted for a small and now I kind of wish I had gone with the mini too, haha. They are definitely generous with their servings! Plus, the seating area is spacious, which is great. I also appreciate that they provide plenty of wet naps—you'll definitely need them!

I took my mother and grandmother to this restaurant for the first time, and they absolutely loved it. It was their first experience with a dipped cone, and they were impressed. The dips are top-notch and taste fantastic. The portions are generous, so you definitely get great value for your money. I will definitely return!

This is a fantastic place! The ice creams are absolutely delicious, and the staff is incredibly friendly. I used to take my son to Chocolats Favoris when he was just four years old, back when we lived in Quebec, so I'm thrilled that we now have one in Aylmer. Every visit brings him so much joy!

This restaurant has closed off its outdoor patio area, which discourages foot traffic, but there's no signage or explanation for it. While I understand the company's reasoning, many seniors in the area are left without an alternative route and are forced onto a busy parking lot road, which is unsafe. This also affects families with children. It seems that this establishment is not considering the needs of the community. Please take steps to improve safety for everyone.

I'm giving this place three stars due to the friendly staff and nice layout. The staff are genuinely pleasant, and the atmosphere is quite enjoyable. However, I must say that even the inexpensive ice cream from McDonald's tastes far better than what I had here. This ice cream is quite ordinary and, to be honest, it’s probably the worst ice cream I’ve had in Canada.
