Sesame - Gatineau

Just ordered some Bao using Uber Eats and they were extremely underwhelming. The restaurant took such a long time to prepare the order that when I received it the Bao were cold and the side salad was wilting and soggy. I had requested some fries as a side for one of the orders and received another wilting /soggy salad instead.•That being said, I preferred the chicken General Tao over the duck. The Bao was more substantive, the sauce was flavorful and the crispy chicken brought a nice contrast against the Bao bun. The duck Bao fell flat. Not much meat, soggy and very subtle taste.•For the price of the meal and the “ok- meh” taste/quality of the dishes, I would not reorder Bao from this place. I was really hoping for some tasty Bao on the Gatineau side but I will definitely revert back to my preferred options on the Ottawa side, which is very unfortunate.

Very disappointed in my experience at this restaurant. The chicken pad thai was okay, I've had better. The drink I ordered from the menu tasted like cough syrup and it took forever to get it. The waitress did explain that there was a group of 14 people in the restaurant but it still took forever with only 1 bartender. That drink was not worth $12, it was so gross I couldn't drink it. The wonton with peanut sauce was the best thing we ordered.

Wanted to order online but the website was showing large wait times. I called to see if it was a glitch, the lady said 20mins, which was great. I order on the phone for pick up when I got there waitresses were rolling their eyes and complaining how I ordered via phone and not online due to absurd timing. Sorry for giving you myMoney. Won’t be going back.

Wanna be manager and waiter more interest with is phone and young girl. 4 folks table more employees than client around but service was absolutely awful food was left on the service counter because mohamarde was to busy cruising white chicks

The food was good. Could have a little more flavour. But the service was poor. We got there at 20:50hr, waited 15 min for server to bring the menu, waited another 15 min to take our order and 10 min more to get the soup that was lukewarm, another 20 min to get the rest of the food and also another 8 min before the gave us plate to put the food on. When was time to get our dessert, the waiter told us that the kitchen was closed. The dessert and tea, that we never got, was included in our order. They didn’t discount nothing. We paid and left.I just wanted to have a nice meal in a cozy place with my wife. It turned out to be a very upsetting $117 meal for two.
