Sushi Shop - Gatineau

My wife and I were looking for quick takeout lunch. It took over 25 minutes to receive our order... the least the staff could've done is let us know prior to ordering how long it might take... their washroom was also in disgusting condition that looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. We picked Sushi Shop because the franchise normally has great service and quality but this location really missed the mark.

Upon arriving in Ottawa for a late lunch, my family and I found this sushi restaurant to be extremely rude. The customer service was the worst we have experienced in Canada, and to make matters worse, we did not receive what we paid for. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I always visit this restaurant when I'm downtown during the week. I place my order online and pick it up myself. The staff is always friendly and efficient. The poke bowls are delicious and freshly made. I'm happy that they were able to stay open during the pandemic so I can continue enjoying my favorite lunch. Just remember to order ahead of time since everything is made fresh and it can get busy. This is not a grab-and-go place, but a made-to-order fresh restaurant.

This was my first visit to this restaurant and it was absolutely fantastic. I ordered the combo plate K and it was amazing. I will definitely be returning in the future.
