The Alfresco Grand River Cruise is a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life for both locals and tourists alike! Once the boat sets sail, guests are treated to a cultural experience showcasing the Ahom Dynasty culture, followed by a performance by Assamese artists. The cruise lasts approximately two hours and reservations can be made 48 hours in advance. The cost is around 1300 INR per person and includes the cruise, light snacks, a soft drink, and dinner following the cruise. There is a bar on board where guests can purchase drinks of their choice and order more snacks at an extra cost.
If you are in Guwahati, please visit this restaurant. Bookings can be made over the phone 48 hours in advance. They will send you a link for payment. The overall experience of the cruise is good. The food is okay, but the snacks and cultural programs are excellent. They only cruise around the area.
This floating restaurant serves quite good eating on a large yacht with decks on three flats, is the largest that guwahati has to offer. if they were in panjim, goa, they would have experienced the evening cruise with music dance on the river mandovi. this is part of the exclusive ambiente of the careless goa, all visitors enjoy it. this cruise in alfresco on the river brahmaputra is somewhat similar, with slight changes in local culture. here too, the excessively loud activity of the Goan experience is weakened. the alfresco houses a cultural program that shows the local dance music bihu as well as other popular dance pop music, a restaurant bar helps them to relax, the cool brise of the brahmaputra flow in the evening makes the rest to calm their flew nerves, served from the day-consuming activities. similar cruises are also operated by the state government, but less the excellent dining restaurant arrangements. while the ship makes about three night cruises daily on the above basic; occasionally during the season, it also makes long trips on the brahmaputra flow, even to majuli in upper assam. in such locations, the underlying deck dining room come in use.
For eating at this restaurant one will have to purchase the cruise tickets first. For the dinner cruise the cost of dinner is included in the tickets. During the other cruises one can buy light snacks beverages on board. The USP of this restaurant...are three things : cultural program, local cuisine cruise on Brahmaputra, that too all in two to two half hour. So if you are a tourist on a short stay, it's a must recommended, otherwise all the above can be enjoyed separately at other places. They have a bar, DJ a good singer. Do carry mosquito repellent creams all seasons) light jackets winters). Food is average but the experience is unique.
