Waffle House - Gautier

Went to Waffle House on Hwy 90 in Gautier with my friend for brunch. Should have had a clue when we walked up to the door with the music blasting outside. Sat down and could barely hear the young woman waiting on us asking for our order. Repeatedly asked her to turn the music down. She did, but the manager and other stuff thought it was funny and kept turning it up even higher. There were several other customers who also asked to have it turned down and they did the same thing. They were more interested in catering to their buddies who thought it was funny than the customers actually eating food. My friend said she's been there several times in the past several months and the same few people are sitting sucking down gallons of coffee taking up space never ordered food and encouraged them to play the music loud and management goes with it. Also the food was barely warm even though there were only 6 customers ordering food. The server had to be asked several times for things we needed. I don't know if it was because she was upset because she was stressed with the situation or she couldn't hear because of the music. Definitely won't be back until owner makes a major change with management.

The employees here are outstanding each of the 10 or so times I've been here. Just went here late Monday night and the grill master with the golden grill shirt was impressive. I've owned a restaurant and was thinking that I wish I would have had this guy. Waffle house dictates the food so it is what it is, but they make it as good, if not better, than most of the other waffle house restaurants I've been to across the country. Owner, understand and appreciate what you have. Not saying you don't though.

I will drive to this waffle house when I know Rick is cooking and Erica is waiting tables.. They both know their job and make you feel welcome. Erica goes out of her way to make sure you have everything you need. Always happy to see you come back remembers what you like and your name... Great team work there..

It's just what you're looking for 5:30 in the morning. Fast, fresh, friendly and fair! What else could one want for
