Criterion Tavern - Gawler

For the first time on a last Sunday we went into a statement as it opened. it was extremely quiet in the restaurant, no music or background noises that have felt a bit unpleasant, and others try to speak in whispers. I ordered the lachs with a kartoffel and zucchini rosti and my partner ordered the rumpsteak special boiled medium with garlic prawn sauce. shortly after we had ordered them to be sold out of rump and the alternative steak would be more than $5, but we were not charged extra at the end. the steak was under, but my partner enjoyed it and the sauce was delicious. my salmon was overcooked and very dry, and the rosti was extremely soggy, either heated in the microwave or uncooked- either away, unusable. the few muted veggies were probably the best part, although bland. personal quite pleasant and friendly, but not pleasant overall.

The pub had a charming old-fashioned atmosphere. The food was well-prepared and served in generous portions. The service was cheerful, and the locals at the bar were friendly and open to chatting. Would I return? Absolutely.

My partner and I went out for tea tonight and ended up waiting over an hour for our food. We were informed that there had been a mix-up with our orders, and we ultimately decided to cancel. We received a refund, but now we're home without dinner, which was really disappointing. We've visited this restaurant before without any issues, but after tonight's experience, it will be a long time before we return.

I recommend little fat lambs only certain areas stock this cider it's the BEST and fantastic service
