Malt Shovel Taphouse Geelong

The food was delightful, and the atmosphere is a bit more upscale than your typical pub.

This the second time we’ve been to The Malt Shovel Taphouse. We had friends from Qld with us and we all had an amazing meal they were very impressed. The food was perfectly cooked and the service was great. We’ll be back!

It was a bit awkward on my blind date when a photographer came up to us asking for a photo for your Facebook page, especially since "date" was the reason we booked. Perhaps it's better to approach groups or couples who seem more comfortable together. On a positive note, the food was fantastic, but I have to say, charging over $30 for a parmi seems a bit steep.

Awesome venue for hosting a large group for the grand final, would return.

Despite not being busy our food took way to long. It was as if they wanted us to buy more drinks. Then one meal was late and five out of six of us were just about finished by the time it arrived. Apparently a Gluten Free Bun took a long time.
