I visited Dawat-E-Sai Restaurant and Cafe around Christmas in 2020, and I was fortunate that they were open when almost everything else in Gembrook was closed for the week. The owner was very accommodating and prepared a milder version of a curry that my kids loved, in addition to the regular menu items that I enjoyed. The service was friendly and excellent.
