I visited this restaurant three times. twice I ordered the combination of everything; Tempoura, sushi and terriyaki chicken. This is a beauty of this restaurant and I enjoyed, perhaps, a half of everything. On another occasion it was a cold winter day. I enjoy warm sake and some snack to go with you. This has raised my body and mind. Although this is not too attractive for special occasions, I will visit this restaurant for safe place for me and family.
It may be that there are only a few Japanese restaurants in Switzerland, so I don't want to be excessively hard at this review. This is an attractive small restaurant, apparently family races with beautiful waiter and staff. But for people who know Japanese food, the food is just that. Sushi is a commercial class. The tempura is not made fresh and is so delicate and almost insensitive. Japanese rice is used, and it is properly cooked - a small success. There is a focus on Sukiyaki and Shabu-shabu here and the presentation and the thinly cut meat are attractive, but to 60 Swiss francs $69) these are New York High-End Restaurant prices for very common foods. I know that Geneva is very expensive and nobody expects normal prices here, but 18 Swiss francs to pay about $20.60) for quite ordinary gyoza or 45 Swiss francs $51.00) for a very common sushi presentation seems excessive. A single piece of sushi runs 5-8 Swiss francs $6-10). In Tokyo, you would pay less for this level of establishment. Unless you live in Switzerland and are terrible nostalgic for a shade of Japanese cuisine. or on an unlimited cost account were most Diners Japanese), it would be better to save on and fly to Japan.
The 'tapas' - the main difference between the main branch and this one - are pretty original, and range from so-so to very good. The salade mêlée is a real joke - neither good nor Japanese. The sashimi is OK, albeit not the freshest nor the best. At CHF 120 per head, it's a shame they don't even serve fresh wasabi. Avoid expensive items (toro, uni, unagi) as the quality is really subpar. Service is friendly and attentive.
Un verdadero Izakaya en Ginebra. Aunque el precio es elevado. Su menu es muy variado. Encuentras desde sushi, sashimi, tempuras y variedad de piqueos para compartir.
