The food was delicious and was also served very quickly. The waitress was kind and nice. The prices were a bit high, but the restaurant is close to the train station. Overall we enjoyed the food and the time.
I passed by them and bought this typical southern Chinese dish. Very expensive for such small quantity! The worst thing was Two hours after eaten it, i started having terrible stomachache... Never go there again...
We wanted to visit our favourite chinese in Geneva but it was closed so after looking around in Paquis we decided to try Boky-Fushun. The place is quite normal and the service basic. The food was not bad but cannot compare with other chinese restaurants in Geneva. Overall acceptable but nothing more.
Boky or Boky FuShu was one of my favourite dining places in Geneve but that changed after my last visit when it is clearly under new management and what appear to be new staff at the front. The plusses are that the decor has been upgraded, possibly a re paint job and less chipped furniture, and the quaint betting machine in the passage to the toilets removed (I could have sat there for an hour or two looking at the less than wealthy locals coming in hoping to win a Franc or three to play some more . The renovations include a new menu, much bigger and better photos. However, that doesn't appear to help the staff in writing down customer order (number . I ordered some steamed pork buns and eventually got fried dim sum; I ordered duck soup with noodles but got beef soup with rice. This was after me pointing to the picture and the number below it, but that was a bit too much for the middle aged newbie. At least the wine type and quantity came out ok eventually. In the past even with it near capacity the food and service was delivered in short order by attentive staff. Not this time. One suspects the restaurant renovation had just been completed and most from staff (except the manager(? were on a steep learning curve. It was clear it was close to reopening as a large table of about 10 friends (mainly young women were soaking up the attention of three of the four (male wait staff who also sat down with them, while the remaining 6 customers were given cursory attention. My wine come out after 10 minutes, the wrong entree in 30 min, and the main course in 40 minutes. You guessed it I knew it could have been hours if I said they brought out the wrong food so I just commented (and wasn't understood it wasn't what I ordered but it would be fine. As a people watcher I watched in fascination as a lady ordered a pot of Chinese green tea and politely waited 35 minutes to receive it (almost a record for any asian restaurant almost! , and a person from African sub continent who came 5 minutes after me was still awaiting his meal when I left after an hour. So was the Uber food delivery fellow who had still hadn't received the order while waiting 40 minutes, another Uber just left without food after 30 minutes. So service was a tad subterranean on expectation. But what was the food I didn't order taste like? That hadn't changed from previous visits it was excellent. If I am prepared to very slow dining (because it was snowing and or raining hard I would likely go back.
Service was good and the food was freshly cooked and very well tasted! We ordered our food from a tablet computer you receive when you sit and the entire menu is displayed digitally. Super easy to order what you want and it comes out pretty fast! The restaurant was busy and the people come and go all night, that's a good sign.
