Café des Négociants - Genève

If you are in Geneva you should go to Carouge. And if you are in Carouge you should eat at Cafe des Negociants. We had a delicious meal on the terrasse. We started with the tomato and burrata salad and the tuna carpaccio both...were excellent. Then we had the tuna and the sea bream again delicious. We finished with some Roquefort. All with a very nice Genevan Aligote. Strongly recommended.

Very Good! New approach , new menu and, new chef! Far Better than before with a typical french bistro menu. You can have meals such as cuisse de grenouille and escargot! Very good desert (especially cafe Gourmand) and cheeses. Quite expensive but common for Geneva......Very well located in Carouge!

Le dîner à deux fut de très bonne qualité. Excellent foie gras, des poissons cuits parfaitement. Ma partenaire a apprécié le tartare de saumon. Une cuisine assez simple, mais très bons produits. De plus, la terrasse est agréable, peu de circulation dans la rue. Seul petit bémol: le service est un peu lent, mais ce soir là le resto et la terrasse furent pleins.

Découvert lors d'une pause déjeuner, ce restaurant propose des produits frais assemblés dans une cuisine très raffinée.

Attentive service, high quality cuisine and a creative but reliably familiar menu. The waiters didn't know the wine list as well as they should, but they did make a genuine effort to make up for that by doing on the spot research. Excellent meal.
