Newly enlarged space still the perfect place for morning coffee and pastries! Personally I love the wide range of products for lunch several different sandwiches, salads and wonderful sweets for dessert. Conveniently located near ITU and UN (Palais). On a sunny spring day the tables are on the terrace of the place to enjoy a break. Feeling good, friendly service. Recommend Carole et Joel for visitors.

Love Patisserie Merigonde (Carole et Joel Merigonde) one of my favorites! Perfect selection of things for lunch; Special sweets wonderful chocolates (plus different sizes of gift boxes); and of course, .. sitting outside to enjoy the summer days with a coffee. Friendly fast service, always with a smile . . . a beautiful place to spend some time. Comfortable for ITU, WIPO, Palais des Nations, Opera Nations. Give them an attempt not to be disappointed.

Patisserie Merigonde (Carole et Joel Merigonde) chocolatier patissier. Working in Geneva for over 18 years and this is my very popular place for chocolate. My pictures only give a small idea of diversity; great for gifts to local friends. Sandwiches: Americans know that it is easy to find a ham sandwich in Geneva; or a cheese sandwich; buy practically *impossible* to get a ham cheese sandwich! Carole (Perhaps to help delegates like me) makes perfect ham cheese sandwiches. Visit Patisserie Merigonde on Rue de Vermont 37 for their CHOCOLATES!

The cakes are very good and whenever there was a birthday, I would always buy their cake. Until yesterday 's morning... We all know service is not Switzerland 's best feature, specially in Geneva, but the service in this place today was just horrible. The attendant with grey hair was very rude to me this morning because I took the cake from the fridge myself. She deliberately ignored me for 5 minutes and when she finally spoke to me, her first phrase was Next time, you wait until I get the cake for you... and she was even more impolite after this. There will not be a next time, the cakes are great but the service was just too awful to come back.
