Thanks to Kim Teo we discovered this fabulous place... food was delicious and we couldn't leave. We had a lovely brunch, very helpful waiters and the general ambiance is really cosy. Fruits and stuff of high quality.... probably organic... not sure, but very tasty...!
Lunch is good. They have fresh juices. The food is tasty with inspiration from all over the world. Service is learning so I can't really complain and they mostly do really good.
In between the public hospital, Carouge, Champel and Plainpalais, Un R de famille has one of the most pleasant court yards in Geneva. Here, not the usual luxury of overpriced restaurants in this city of banks, watchmakers and international organisations, but a truly surprising menu...in a setting designed for families and human encounters. The menu changes every two weeks. When I ate at Un R de famille last, everything was so tempting that I wanted to come back before the menu changed. We had a wonderful fish dish with a green salad as starter and vegetables on the side. The risotto with rhubarb and red beets was a delight. Dessert lovely, the chef came to talk to me about my gluten free request. Good local wines. Service more than friendly and prices reasonable (CHF for maindish, dessert, wine, mineral water and coffee). Un R de famille is hidden in a small side street. Go check it out. The food is just wonderful!! The service impeccable and the atmosphere so human :
Simply the most convenient place for brunch with kids in Geneva. We have been there with a group of friends adults and toddlers. They set the table including high chairs and plastic cutlery for all kids. They also have a couple of playrooms...where they even organize activities for children to do while parents enjoy the food. Really everything you could ask for with small kids. Food was good and tasty. They don't have a huge variety but it was sufficient with cheese, cold cuts and the usual pastries. They also had some more consistent choices such as quiche, chicken curry, boiled vegetables, salad. Would definitely recommend it for families who want to enjoy brunch in a relaxed manner.
