If you decide to drive here, I would recommend parking in the neighborhood some streets down and easy walk. If you don't feel like coming here to have the food, please note that this store is available on the AirAsia Food Delivery app so that always an option. Ambiance: Although not the most convenient with the cars away next to you, I think you are quite always the best you can for a road stand. There are many tables, so you can definitely find a place in no time. Service: The staff is very friendly and has found us a table, just when we arrived. Extra spices were also released, if desired, so that was nice. The beverage booth next door is also very attentive and will come quickly to take over your orders when they see you. Food: There is a reason why this stable is so popular, and I think the hype is definitely justified. The depth of taste in the soup is simply not something you can find in most stores and you get a lot of ingredients in it too. Price: Pretty cheap prices as it was RM5.50 for a bowl. You will definitely get your money in this value. Conclusion: The food here is definitely top notch and I recommend it to anyone who wants to test how Asam Laksa should be.
The noodle soup costs less than $2 is impressively good. Even for my bf, which is not really enjoyed in fish soup. Cendol was also very good, not too sweet.
The first time asam laksa and I really enjoyed it, the broth is well balanced between sour, spicy and sweet. I expected more sour, but pleasantly surprised. The staff was very friendly and helpful to find me a table like myself. Many people stared at me because I was the only white person in the whole area. The couple I shared a table was very friendly and said not many white foreigners coming to the neighborhood.
I was here a lot. Good memory, food still great, but you can probably better asam laksa elsewhere in these days without need to rest and sit near the road. Although, I will still come here to eat, besides how food taste is the memory and place.
This place is only open on weekends, but boy is it well worth the travel for. Perfect laksa broth with a really nice floral fragrance. We went around 2pm, so it wasn’t as crowded as we had expected. Highly recommended for Penang laksa
