We waited for a table for 15 minutes and were then seated. We ordered the conch fritters since that's what is quite popular here. It was good...tasted like fried potatoes! I would probably get this again! We then ordered the Jamaican jerk chicken and fish and chips. The jerk chicken was definitely very well seasoned with peppers. If you love black pepper, then you would love the chicken! The chicken was tasty but also filling. I got sick of the taste after 2 bites. The fish and chips were highly recommended so that's what I got. Boy, I have never had soft battered fish before. Literally, the fish came out looking like any other fried fish. But when I held it, the batter was soft! It definitely was not crispy at all. Not sure how that came about but it was not good at all. I felt like I was eating baked fish. It was nonetheless very bland! I couldn't bare to eat another bite. Service was slow and not accommodating.
A good locals spot with Caymanian-Jamaican style food. This restaurant has outside seating and is covered with a thick thatch roofing. There is also a seating near the bar that is covered by the building. However the entire restaurant is completely open so be careful on rainy or stormy days. The servers were friendly and helpful with menu choices. The food was nicely seasoned and typical for island style cooking. We arrived on a Friday night and there was live music playing current hits and reggae/soca oldies. If you are looking for a decently priced place to enjoy island style food and drinks, this is the place for you.
This place is absolutely awesome. The jerk bbq chicken wings was amazing. Our server Marissa was outstanding. Very attentive and super nice. Our food was so prompt. I had a passion fruit daiquiri... lacked a little alcohol but I'm sure my liver appreciates it. This place has free wifi, big screen tv to watch the game and a great selection of food! The BBQ baby back ribs, rice and fries was to nothing short of awesome island food. I loved the ambiance and live band have a great variety. Great time to get up and dance. Raggae, soca, r&b, and much more. Love this place for lunch and or dinner. Great gem! #thankmelater!
Amazing find! Very authentic Jamaican cuisine!! We had 1/2 lb jerk pork and 1/2 a jerk chicken, both with peas rice and a festival. The Peppers Punch was good as well, a large drink and fairly strong with 5 types of rum. Definitely will have to go back to try some of the other menu items. The wait staff was courteous and efficient, time for the meal was average and pricing fair for the Caymans.
Island bar with some good food. I ordered jerk chicken with ribs, the order came out wrong but no big deal. The ribs were very good but the chicken was very dry. The wait staff was very cold and and didn't care. I'm giving it three stars for the ribs but two for the chicken. And one star for service.
