It started off bad from the moment we walked through the door. Even though we had made a reservation, we were seated at a table in a high traffic area even though there were a number of other tables available. We asked if we could move and our server announced quite loudly to the other servers that we didn’t want to sit there and moved us. We noticed, as the night went on, no one else was offered that table. Also people without a reservation were seated further in the restaurant at nicer seats, ?? She brought us our drinks but different people brought us our apps meal and checked on us once. When done we sat for 20 minutes while she walked past us several times and looked at us but never came over to see if we wanted dessert, which we did, nor did anyone else. We felt invisible and upset so we got up and asked one of the servers for our cheque. We were so put off that we will not be going back nor will we continue to recommend this restaurant . For the big bucks you pay to eat at The Glen we expect a much higher level of service. Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

Thank you to the entire staff at The Glen Tavern for an unforgettable birthday celebration for my best friend! Everything was perfect! It was very highly recommended by family and well worth the hours of driving through rush hour traffic because from the moment we arrived we were transported into a different, far more enchanting place than we’ve shared in a very, very long time. The cocktails and wine were incredible. The food was impeccably presented and absolutely delicious! The coconut cream desert was every bite as scrumptious as your downtown Toronto restaurant. Each staff member from Lindsay who called to confirm our reservation to our delightful server, serving staff and the host less went above and beyond to give us the best dining experience imaginable! We are so grateful and very much look forward to returning again in the future. Highly recommend this restaurant—it’s been the highlight of our summer dining experiences! Thank you kindly again! *Travel note: the only issue we experienced was with two separate GPS apps that took us on back roads, getting us lost, and adding an extra hour to our already long rush hour drive on a hectic Friday night. I highly recommend that if you’re traveling from out of town, be mindful that this restaurant isn’t in downtown Georgetown and that GPS apps most recommended travel route may not be your best or most efficient way of traveling. I’m so grateful the way home was so much more straightforward because it really isn’t difficult to find this gem directly from the 401! Can’t wait to visit again now that we know this!
