Sunny Sweetie Roti Shop - Georgetown

Nigel, our tour guide from Evergreen Adventures recommended that we come here and I am so glad he did. Everything was delicious: the liver, the duck curry, the roti, the watermelon drink. The roti was soft and stayed soft the next day. Everyone in our group of 10 or so, enjoyed what they ordered. This is authentic, tasty Guyanese food. The service was very good too, staff were polite and courteous, which was not common in other food establishments in Georgetown to be honest. I hear the pachownee is really good, but it had already ran out by the time we got there. Will certainly return for it, and other dishes, on my next trip! Thank you for the fantastic food and excellent service.

We came here on recommendation from our tour guide Nigel at Evergreen Adventures. Wow ! So delicious. The Bigen choka, the dhal, the goat curry, the duck curry, the roti. Everything was amazing! The dhal was so yummy but I wouldn’t recommend for foreigners or those with a sensitive stomach as it’s probably made with the tap water. It upset my stomach a little. But everything else was sooo good. I wish we could have gone back to eat again but we got so busy. The fresh watermelon juice was so refreshing ! One tip I would recommend is to replace the metal roof as it makes the eating area veryyy hot. Or an AC. However these are not major issues and I loved this hidden gem. Best customer service I experienced in Guyana as well. Sweetie was so sweet!

Lovely local Guyanese food. Make sure you try the natural juices. Best food I had in Guyana besides my aunty dawns in BV lol. Wish there was a sunny and sweetie in Toronto.

This is a traditional dishes eatery where one can choose delicious food. Just like many traditional eatiries, you take away food. Since there is sitting place, you may consume your food here.

Great food! Awesome service five stars and at a reasonable price. Would definitely go back.
