The walk to get there made us wonder what we were getting into as it didnt seem all that nice but once you get to the beach it was great. Nice rocks to swim to and there was a little cove/pool on the left where some people were floating on a raft. The restaurant is top notch. On of the better beach restaurants we've eaten at. We learned they are connected through family to a terrific restaurant in Taormina called Cutiludissi that we had eaten at the night prior and was wonderful. We had mussels and their frito misto. Both delicious.
We ended up walking out as they served my dish, and 20 mins later my husband still had not got his dish. The waiters are rude, no one cares about customer service. They were rude from the minute we sat down… We ordered a beer after complaining about the time the dish was taking, the waiter either didnt understand or didnt care, no beer ever turned up. The food, mine was ordinary at best, service terrible, apparently the manager was away today, perhaps thats why none of the staff (we asked two waiters for a beer) care. With so many restaurants it’s disappointing we chose such an ordinary place for our last day in Sicily. I never once got an apology, nothing.. Walk up the beach the place next door, service amazing!
We unfortunately only made it to this gem at the end of our trip. The location is fantastic with a beautiful view and rocky beach. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the food was without a doubt fantastic (we mainly ordered the specials)! Highly recommended.
Beach club day. Extremely good value for the sunbed hire and food. We had a free shuttle from the hotel down but the driver suggests a service charge of €5 per couple so don’t don’t be fooled by the “free” shuttle! Also be aware that going back there were only two time options 430 and 630. We thought it would be more flexible. The beach itself and facilities were stunning. Off the beaten track and takes 5 10minutes to walk there after being dropped off but it was easy going and mostly shaded. Mopeds and small vehicles I think can reach there on the track if you’re unable to walk. It gets very busy on a weekend we understand but we went on a Tuesday and it was perfect. The sand is easier to walk on than some of the more pebbly beaches but it’s still a little bit stony under foot so beach shoes might be worth considering. For the facilities,2 sunbeds, umbrella, 2 lunches a couple of drinks each we spent just €50 for the day. There were a few hawkers selling things but a polite no grazie and they soon went on their way and weren’t any bother. Very relaxing day at the beach and in the sea with really good food and service.
Great location, clear water and amazing staff. The water is clear and fish can be seen swimming. The beach, where lava rocks are placed in the water, is well-equipped with umbrellas and sun beds. Music and food are great! Very good value for money. Highly recommended.
