Jumbo - Gibraltar St, Sheffield

This is a typical Chinese all you can eat buffet. In the evenings i thikn it goes uo to £11 per person, so make sure you get your moneys worth! Overall the food is good, but the actual layout or decor isnt as nice as wokmania. Has usual selections plus pancakes and lots of fruit. located near the crucible.

I have just visited Jumbo Buffet to be greeted by rude staff, then I sit down and on my second plate of food I realised the chicken was raw. I then went to complain to a man behind the bar, I said I am not happy to pay for my meal, I will pay for the drinks but not for the buffet. He then went on to say you have ate the food so you have to pay, I don't think any business should demand a payment if they are serving you inedible food. I was absolutely appalled. I asked to speak to a manager and he said she will be in tomorrow, he refused to give me his name and the managers name. He said I could have the meal for half the price and that's it. If I have a problem I should come back when the manager is in. I have never been treated so badly in a restaurant in my life. Would definitely not return. Also the fizzy drinks where flat, the toilets where not clean. DO NOT EAT HERE!

Firstly, about a week before we planned to go i reserved a table for 20 people, Got there on the day and they'd given the table i reserved to another group, so we had to sit on two separate tables or all squash onto 1 then when i asked to move, they pretended they couldnt understand me. then they were all speaking in chinese so we couldnt understand them and started pointing at us, which was very rude. The quality and variety of food has declined considerably, since we last went and the food was cold, and really not worth 11 pounds. The drinks were very highly priced, 2.4o for a pint of coke. They said they accepted student cards but when i showed them mine they said they didnt accept them sort of ones, but it was a standard student card which i could not understand!Then a friend came with us wasn't very well. she paid her money then went straight upstaris to the toilet and was in there all night throwing up, she came down when we were leaving and thought it was reasonable to ask for her money back because she'd not ate anything, to a student 11 pounds a lot of money to waste. But no they point blank refused. They all lied and said they'd saw her eating when they clearly hadn't because shed been in the toilet all night. After half an hour of arguing and two phone calls to the manager they still refused and we were forced to leave. I WOULD DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND COMING HERE. THE FOOD IS **** AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ABSOLUTELY APPALLING!!
