Bull bistro & bar - Gibsons

My husband and I (and our 9 year old son) had a family date night here and WOW, the owner went above and beyond to make our night out special. His wine recommendations were spot on, and we enjoyed the meal immensely. They even did a cheese pizza for my son and then the chef whipped up a special dessert for him. Lucky for us our son is of the sharing kind and it was delicious....it was warm spicy peaches and buttery crumble with vanilla ice cream. If a hug had a taste, this would be it. There is also a great atmosphere in the space. My designer eye is very pleased by the stunning light fixtures, the ceiling details and high back booth seating in gloss red. The bathroom is pretty nifty too. Worth the trip down the stairs to check it out, even if you don't have to go. ;)

Small portions, large price, mediocre cooking skills. Now to the bill. Over the years I have been to lots of restaurants with more than 6 people in our party. The menu will always cover that fact and charge a gratuity accordingly. Now I know one has to exercise due diligence, maybe the Harbourside menu stated that and I missed it but at least the waitress should inform you of policy when it comes to groups and tipping. So needless to say I tipped on top of the 18% automatic gratuity and none the 3 women serving said a word. Dumb tourist. Will not recommend to anyone. Period!

Stopped in for dinner last night.My partner had the caesar salad to start. It was great, just the right amount of dressing and homemade croutons! He then had the mini pizza as he was fished out. It was good but not as great as my blackened salmon. At first glance I thought it was overcooked. But it was fantastic!!! Perfectly cooked with a beautiful pink centre, veggies were grilled to perfection.Russ our server was great. Will definitely go back. Good beer and great wine selection.They even offer lovely blankets if you get cold in the patio. Oh yeah and the view during sunset is not so bad!!

Pick a nice sunny day and sit on the deck overlooking Gibsons Marina while you enjoy tasty tapas-style dishes and a chilled white wine. The view is fantastic, the staff are friendly and the ambience is casual.

Great location! Food was really good even though a few of the items we wanted weren't available as they are closing for some renovations! The owner is great and super friendly. Looking forward to going back in the summer on the patio and updated menu of all the fan favorites!
