I also had two rolls one yellow tail and scallion which lacked scallion and it was very tasteless and I had another roll, can't remember which one but I think it had eel and salmon it had too much red Korean hot sauce. I would try this place again and try something else.
I usually go to another sushi restaurant in Gibsons but it was closed. I decided to try Sima at the Sunnycrest Mall. It was packed which made me wonder why we had never been there. I wanted take out so chose my meal from the menu and left. Everything I ordered was ready in about 15 minutes.....just when they estimated. The food was delicious and the servings were generous.
I like to order Sashimi A when I am here. It's refreshing. The tea is always hot and so is the Miso soup. There is plenty of seating, as I learned during my last visit. Booths go all the way to the back of the restaurant.
I ordered Sashimi combo A. It was Salmon and Tuna. I also ordered Miso soup. I have been here a few times. This most recent visit was a bit different in presentation. There was lemon wedges with the Wasabi and Ginger. It was refreshing. My food was served quickly by friendly staff (lila?).
This is not an unusual situation in that many sushi places give you rolls that are 90 percent rice with a little sliver of fish inside. If you are in the mood for sushi and don't mind paying less to get less, Sima is just fine.
