Masa Sushi Japanese Cuisine Gilbert

Tried this sushi place on a recommendation of a friend. He said it was the best. Not for us. It was the first time the 3 of us ever left expensive sushi on the plate. The spicy tuna was like baby food inside and could not eat the nigiri. Maybe other menuitems are good. Sorry, not trying to be mean, just being honest. We just want you to know so you can improve your business.

The food was excellent, but unfortunately, the waitress seemed disinterested in serving her tables. It took 10 minutes to receive my Iced Tea and when I needed a refill, she was nowhere to be found. Overall, it was a poor experience. I may give it another try, but it's important to note that servers now earn a minimum wage of $14.00 per hour, so they do not rely on tips for their income.

The sushi at Masa Sushi is as close to perfection as it gets. The way they prepare the eel is absolutely delightful. Their Eel roll is amazing and definitely worth a visit. This is the best sushi restaurant in Arizona by far and I can't imagine anything surpassing it. I highly recommend it.

First time eating here, service was great, and food was served quickly. We will definitely be back

Good food , but I was very surprised the cooks have direct contact with the food without using gloves.. It is a health code violation!
