Hilton Garden Inn Gilroy

I have been always staying in this hotel for work in Gilroy (more than 10 times . But the most recent stay in August 2023 had some issues. First of all, I am user of Hilton phone App for check-in but the digital key did not work (in the previous stays it worked! . Had to get a physical door card but the card stopped working in middle of stay and I had to go all the way down to front desk to reactivate it. The WIFI worked for my tablet but not for my iPhone 14. I do like the breakfast (prepaid separately , choices are good and well taken care (the staff put good work into it . Choices include freshly cut fruits, yogurt, milk, oatmeal, sausage, potato, egg etc.Noteworthy details: Good breakfast, complimentary bottled water available for grab for gold members

On Friday 08/11, my wife and I were on a roadtrip on our Harley 's from the Redwood Forest to LA. We chose to stop at Gilroy for some much needed rest. I went up to the front desk and asked for an available room. Without checking he said they were fully booked. I thought that was odd and told him I went online and it said you have rooms available. He said, oh its never right. Then another associate says, try the Motel 6 (really, Motel 6? . I couldn 't believe these 2. I called a Hilton corporate for reservations and got a room but by then I was not offended but rather disappointed on how I was treated. My wife asked me what happened? I couldn 't tell her the truth. We just rode to the Hampton Inn across the way and were accepted immediately. Unbelievable service, I 'm a Hilton Honors member as well. Shamefull

We had a really nice stay at the Hilton Garden Inn at Gilroy. When we arrived, we were genuinely welcomed by Jane at the front desk who was very friendly and made every effort to make sure our stay is satisfactory especially as a Hilton Honors member. Our room was just right and quiet and the beds were comfy enough for a good night's rest. We had no trouble getting housekeeping service or requesting anything we need.

The hotel is nice, but the A/C doesn't work in the lobby or halls. This hotel is very warm and they leave the doors open with fans blowing to try to cool it down. Newsflash that doesn't work very well. It's really warm inside. At least the A/C in the room might work for you.Rooms: 4/5
