Sakura - GIRDWOOD

As usual, excellent service and wonderful food. My husband and I like to sit at the sushi bar where we enjoy watching the chefs prepare dishes. Johnny, the chef working directly in front of us this time, was very helpful in picking out different items to try. All his recommendations were delicious. Sakura is one of our favorite places to eat in Girdwood.

Hands down the best sushi place in the whole state of Alaska! This is the only sushi place I’ve found that serves fresh Alaskan salmon a variety of types). The chefs are wonderful and sitting at the bar is always pleasant. Gray staff, beautiful setting, lively food thank you.

It was fabulous. We had a fabulous Matre De and the food was amazing. It was a very special evening and we will never forget how kind and hospitable every one was. Thak you so much.

The sakura was ok not great like the Katsura (former Name) It was an over priced benihana. Service was better at Denny's.

Sakura is the best Teppanyaki bar that I've experienced. The food is exquisite. Within the past few years, they've also started a combined menu with the Sushi Bar. As a result, one gets the best of both worlds.
