Brasserie Grill Hotel de Ville - Givet

Both my husband and I enjoyed great steak frites here washed down with a very nice bottle of fairly local red wine. Good friendly quick service. Excellent covid security. There was a busy buzzing atmosphere and we enjoyed chatting to other diners, both local and...holidaymakers. Would highly recommend.

When we arrived we were told they only served a certain course (an expensive one of course). We have waited for quite some time to have our order taken, meanwhile around us the waiters were caring cheese plates or different plates that “the only course...they were serving”. The beef was disgusting, unevenly done (some parts were rare, as asked, while others were raw), the fries are similar to the ones from fast foods.

The food was great! Never had a salad who was presented so well! The Rib Eye steak was delicious. The service was fast en very friendly. They managed the people very well under COVID circumstances. Congratulations to the cook and staff! A must be place...if you around Givet.

We stumbled across this restaurant at lunchtime, and we're delighted. The food was delicious, with tasty vegetables. We were glad we dropped by.
