Sebastian Tapas Bodega - Gjettum

We celebrated our jubilee here. it was a good meal. we have ordered many different tapas. there were some hits and misses. overall good. I have 5 stars, because I guess I have a tapas restaurant close to where I live.

Good Foods, Great service and  a wide variety and nice wines/cocktails selections. Awesomeness

Great tapas, service and location. easy access with car and boot.

Second time after a few years and I really surprise. the menú is diferent but still the same quality I will return soon

Unfortunately, my experience at Sebastian Tapas in Sandvika was far from satisfactory. I was looking forward to a tasty and authentic Spanish tapas experience, but ended up being disappointed by several aspects of the visit. First of all, the food was a big disappointment. The tapas I ordered were not only tasteless, but some of the dishes were also oversalted, which destroyed the delicate balance one expects in tapas. It was clear that the food was not prepared with the care and expertise one would expect from a specialty restaurant. Honestly, it felt like the quality of the food was on par with what you could make at home on a normal day, far below what you would expect to experience at a restaurant. The most disappointing was the Aioli. Instead of the authentic and flavorful garlic mayonnaise one would expect, I was served what was clearly a simple mix of Mil's mayonnaise with a hint of garlic. This was a major let down and seemed like an attempt to skimp on the ingredients, which is unacceptable in a specialist tapas restaurant. There was also a strange mix of food dishes. I was expecting an authentic Spanish tapas experience, but it seemed like they had included everything from tacos to the Spanish menu. This created a confusing mix of flavors that didn't work together. All in all, my experience at Sebastian Tapas in Sandvika was far below expectations. I hope that this feedback is taken to heart by the restaurant so that they can improve the food quality and menu to give guests a more authentic and satisfying experience in the future.
