Look, it's VERY hit and miss. One day, you will get deliciously moist chicken with a lightly balanced sauce. The next time it will be dry, not great veggies, it will be slathered in far to much soy based sauce, or your San Choy Bau (As was the case last night) will be served with raw, or almost raw onion which made it very unpalatable. On the whole though, it's a safe enough bet, and it always seems clean. I'd avoid beef, as I think every time I have had anything with beef in it, it has been tough.Reasonable, on the whole.
Interesting to read such glowing reviews !! Probably the most average Thai meal we have ever paid for. The meat was tough, Pad Thai was generous in size but less than average in flavour.Tonight was apparently their last trading night with plans to reopen elsewhere !!!!
I typically dislike pad thai because I find it too sweet and overwhelming. I have tried it at several popular Thai restaurants, but have never been convinced that pad thai is for me. That is, until I tried it at this hidden gem. I am fortunate that it is located near me because it is the best pad thai I have ever had - not too sweet, with a deliciously smoky flavor. The duck noodle soup is also a favorite of mine, and I highly recommend trying it as well.
Food is amazing. Anything you order from the menu will taste great and just about everything is pretty cheap. So if you want a great night out that won't cost too much and everything tastes yum, eat here!
