The check in was a delight with the front desk and got a bit confused with the layout of the floors and the elevator buttons. People (kids? running up and down the hall around night time. Bring ear plugs. The clean and bathroom was very clean.
I have stayed here for work many nights and the service at this hotel has significantly declined, housekeeping may or may not service your room, it's hit and miss, this stay is 5 nights with no housekeeping, this will be the last time
Room #314 gave my husband a bunch of bed bug bites. Other than that everything was good. Pool and hot tub are clean and well maintained. The front desk is friendly and Amy especially was very kind and accomodating. I would give her 5 stars.
Unbelievably bad. They told us when we checked in: So, there 's no housekeeping, so come to the front desk for towels... The room reeked of air freshener. For good reason: There was dog and human hair evident in the corners and edges. There was vomit splatters (see pics) under the sink. Pubes and dog hair in the bathroom, weird goop oozing from the cove base along the walls. The desk was leveled with a wad of paper, the clothes iron is broken, the refrigerator was so crusted with ice it was unusable, so we defrosted it. Outside, a biker gang of some kind has decided that the entrance to the hotel is their personal parking lot. Random loiterers watch you unpack your luggage. People park in spaces reserved for the disabled, without placards. Filthy, unkempt, understaffed, and feckless to an extreme. This is a super spreader event in the making, and a danger and liability to all who stay here. I 've got to get out of here. This is bad.
4.5 years later and it seems like nothing has been done to refresh this hotel. We had a three night stay in room 519. The good: The bed was comfy. The shower head was nice. The breakfast area was a great place to hang out at night. The bad: The room was dirty. Think blood on the black out curtains, and just not clean on the floors, even the bathroom floor. All windows on our floor, common area and in our room were all dirty with huge spider webs all over them. The breakfast. One day there were sausage patties, biscuits and gravy but no eggs. Luckily I found a package of hard boiled eggs in the fridge. Another day there were baked egg squares and two types of sausage. The eggs had this weird crispy film on the top. The third day we got food elsewhere. The desk was cracked and the chair was falling apart. It's substandard and not what I would expect from a Holiday Inn Express. Next time we'll stay farther away from our family and someplace a little nicer.
