Shimla Pinks - Glasgow

First last visit. my own and a friend have decided to try here at the weekend as our favorite Indian Saffron Lounge was closed for the renovation. we sat on a table where you were squeezed beside another table and a heat sink it wasn't an ideal location, as I am strongly pregnant and felt like we were imposing on the other table when we were close. we ordered our food and mins were not so great that my friend enjoyed her eating. at the end of the evening, the staff just approached to stretch around and not to give the other customers much attention. do not see that I return for another visit that I expected that better things from the restaurant. Best Indians on the south side. service and eating are always fantastic. I have takeaways, used groupon vouchers and paid full price and can honestly not fail error-free service and eat. the curries are always of a high standard, not even oily and the portions are a good size. shimilas offers good quality eating to a high standard cooked.

I must have went on a good day!!. My wife had always wanted to eat at Shimla Pinks for years but we stayed away because of some of these horrendous reviews we read online. We decided to go last night (6/6/11) to make our own mind up about the place with the intention of writing a honest review afterwards We were greeted by a very friendly waitress and were looked after by her all night. Conversation was great and service was spot on. The food came out piping hot and full of flavor made exactly to my specification. The place was clean and the toilets spotless. I would recommend just getting takeout instead. I visited this restaurant today with my wife and two young children after receiving a Groupon email. Unfortunately, I will not be returning. While the food was okay, the atmosphere was terrible. We were treated poorly from the moment we walked in the door, possibly because we had young children and a Groupon voucher. The food was decent but nothing special, similar to a good takeaway. I cannot comment on the presence of a baby changing area as I did not want to disrupt the busy and arrogant floor manager.
