Went in after being recommended the place. Immaculate place, really clean, good start. The Woman who served us was really nice. Explained the menu and made some recommendations. We followed her recommendations and were delighted. The food was exceptional. Packed with flavour and as fresh as possible. Great food in a nice part of Glasgow. Excellent
Always go there with my friends, have become my favourite Chinese foods place, Delicious dishes and great value! Will definitely recommend! You have to try it!
TIP: Take cash as they don 't currently take card. Gave it a try at the weekend to deviate from our normal lunch at the cheap and cheerful Chinese restaurant across the road (not naming any names). Rice and Noodle have a more extensive menu at a slightly higher price point but from my experience there is a significant step up in standards to go with it. As it was lunch we only had two dishes, one of the dry noodle variations with chillie oil and a fried pork (think akin to Sweet and Sour but with much more). The noodles were delicious and accompaniments were fantastic with a smokey moderately spiced chilli oil. The pork dish was big thin sliced and fried pieces of pork which were tender whilst the exterior remained crispy despite the sauce which was very impressive. Sweetened with honey and with thin shavings of ginger, garlic, carrot, onion it was simple and absolutely delicious. Both dishes really impressed with their fragrance and fresh tastes which really exceed anything else I 've had in Glasgow. Normally you find things don 't have that fresh taste and perhaps subsidise with more 'chemically ' flavours/sauces. That wasn 't the case here, i 'd strongly urge you to give it a shot please order from the full Chinese menu and you 'll be rewarded!
I am usually not a fan of Chinese food as I find it to be generally unhealthy, with excessive sauces and salt. However, I walked past this restaurant during lunchtime and the delicious smell caught my attention. I decided to give it a try a few nights later with my mom, and I am glad I did. The service was efficient and we were seated quickly. We were the only non-Chinese people there, which is a good indication of the quality of the food. The menu was extensive with lots of pictures. We opted for a chicken and black bean sauce dish, as well as a hot pot of braised cauliflower. We also ordered rice, and though tempted by dim sum, we decided against it as we thought it would be too much food. I'm glad we didn't order more, as the portion sizes were generous. The food was delicious, piping hot, and full of flavor. While I usually prefer non-oily food, it's difficult to avoid in Chinese cuisine, but the dishes were fresh and incredibly tasty. I found the food to be authentic and I'm happy to have discovered this restaurant. It was the best £20 I've spent on a meal!
