The egg and black pudding were overcooked as well. Given the high prices at airport restaurants, this was not worth it. I will not be returning for breakfast here again.
To put it bluntly, the burger was the worst meal I had ever eaten. The patty tasted old and flavorless, as if it had been left out in the rain for stray cats to eat before being refrigerated and then left out in the sun all day. The bacon tasted like it had been cured in the 70s, the cheese didn't melt properly, and the gherkin slices were the only fresh-tasting component of the dish. The burger was a complete disaster, far from the ultimate experience I had been hoping for. My advice to anyone considering dining at this establishment, whether out of necessity or curiosity, is to avoid it at all costs. Calling it a restaurant would be generous; it might be more accurately described as a pet food dispenser.
Quite possibly the driest burger I've ever had, ripping the arse right out the prices aswell. All in all, terrible food.
I ordered a sausage and mash dish and what was delivered was simply the worst plate of food I have ever seen shrivelled sausages that had obviously been overcooked when I complained I was met with a shrug! I had too little time to make an issue about it as had to make my plane. Avoid this ‘restaurant’ at all costs
We arrived at the Sanderling, a Wetherspoons pub, around 7am after going through baggage and security at the airport. Our granddaughter wanted a bacon sandwich, so we quickly found a clean table, placed our order, and received a thick three rasher sandwich in minutes. The tea and coffee were refillable, the staff was efficient, and we enjoyed reading about the interesting history of the Sanderling. The prices were reasonable and the service was excellent.
