Shawarma King - Glasgow City

I tried the chicken BBQ, mixed shawarma wrap, Turkish kebab on rice, and mixed chips at this restaurant. Everything was delicious. The chicken BBQ used chicken thighs, so some pieces were fatty, which I enjoyed, but my wife did not. I ended up eating most of her order. The portions were very generous for the price. There was a bit of a wait, but the food was served hot and fresh. I will definitely be returning for another lunch when I am back in Glasgow.

Every time I drive past this restaurant, it always appears to be very busy so I was prepared for a long wait. Fortunately, when I arrived, there were only four or five people ahead of me. I decided to order the chicken BBQ wrap. The staff were busy but still friendly and welcoming. The only downside was the wait for the food, which took about 15 minutes, so I would not want to come when it is even busier. The food was delicious and I can understand why it has received such high praise. This is not typically the type of restaurant I would go to, but I would choose it over many fancy restaurants that serve similar food. If you are considering trying it, I highly recommend it - you will not be disappointed.

The food was delicious, and I will definitely come back for dinner to try more items on the menu. I had the chicken shawarma, which was perfect, and my brother had the barbecue, which was really good. I wish I could stay here longer, this would be my go-to spot. Yum!

The shwarma king is a noble and honourable leader. I am entranced by the quality of the meat. I especially like it when they make the bread in the nice fire barrel. Literally had a piece of metal in my SHWARMA meal and didn’t even care because it was so delicious. I am very happy with what I received from the shwarma king. Fatoosh.

Was looking forward to trying here as its always busy but found my mixed shawarma wrap to be really fatty chewy meat. Don't know what the hype is about.
