I meet with a crowd of Magicians every Saturday morning, we have a load of places we could have breakfast but we always start our day here. Ann and her staff are excellent and the food is always first class. If your are vising the Barras or an event at Glasgow Green then I'd highly recommend here for food through out the day.
We found this little only 4 to 5 tables by chance and are very glad we did. It is run by two ladies who make every effort to get you exactly what you want, and it 's all freshly cooked. We were there for a quick snack lunch and had soup a huge bowl of home made chicken and rice with a big fresh roll and a delicious baked [jacket to some! potato with a big filling of chicken mayonnaise and side salad. Add a big slice of home made fruit cake and a couple of glasses of water and the bill was just £5.70. What a bargain! It is really unfair that this comes so far down the list of Glasgow eateries. It is, certainly, not in the most fashionable part of the city but London Road in general and The Barras in particular is something that all visitors should experience! Also, in this part of Glasgow, the local accent is VERY strong so that those unused to it may have some difficulty understanding some of the speech just be patient.
Smashing little cafe amazing breakfast and the staff are lovely great value for money definitely return here
Such helpful caring staff. Prompt service. Great coffee. It's along London Rd from entrance to The Barras
