Riveralp - Glattfelden

Wir waren für einen ganztätigen Workshop im Riverside. Ich kann das Hotel dafür bestens empfehlen: Es liegt im Grünen, ist jedoch öffentlich gut erreichbar (ein paar Minuten von der Station Glattfelden mit dem hotel-eigenen Shuttlebus). Die Räume und Ausstattung sind zweckmässig, das WiFi funktioniert einwandfrei (eigentlich selbstverständlich, aber doch nicht überall so). Das Highlight ist jedoch die Effizienz und Freundlichkeit des Personals im Restaurant: Trotz der guten Auswahl – 3 Gerichte am Mittag, à la carte Thai am Abend – war alles ohne Wartezeit bereit, ohne hektisch zu wirken. Es war genug Personal da und es war extrem effizient organisiert (eine Kombination, die man leider eher selten trifft). Das Essen war sehr gut – insbesondere die Thai-Vorspeisen-Platte ist abwechslungsreich und grosszügig portioniert. Für ein Team-Event ist die Bowling-Bahn cool – auch ich als sportliche Null hatte meinen Spass, und ein gemeinsam ausgetragenes Spiel kann ein Team besser motivieren mehr als lange Reden.

The location is beautiful and quiet, along a small river and a short walk from the Rhine and the German border. It is about 20 minutes away from Zurich Airport, but can seem to be up to an hour at peak times. The rooms were quite large, stylish and well furnished. The beds were comfortable, although the pillows were somewhat flat. The bathroom is spacious and very modern. I didn't use the other hotel facilities, but the breakfast was great. A wide range of good cheese and meat, breads, pastries, some hot foods such as bacon and eggs, locally source honeys, jams and iced tea, a selection of Nespresso coffee, yogurts and more. Everything was delicious. The service of the reception and restaurant staff was excellent. Very friendly and they really encouraged to help. I stayed free because of a missed flight connection, so I can't comment on the price-performance ratio.

The staff was amazing, they were always sure we were well looked after. Very friendly and helpful whenever we asked! They also remembered that we spoke in English, so telephone calls and visits were accommodated for us. The rooms are spectacular, comfortable and clean. I could not have had a better experience on my journey from the United States to Switzerland!

It's really pleasing to see what's hidden in Riverside. Wonderful food, a very nice lodge room with a view of the river, and very friendly staff. We felt very welcome as guests and our special request for breakfast was even fulfilled.

The conference hotel is really top class. The staff are very nice, the room is spacious, the breakfast is adequate and the dinner is very good. I will gladly come again.
