My mango lassi was colorful and just the right amount of sweetness. The fried mashed potato appetizer was excellent, especially when paired with the sauces. The chicken korma entree was savory and satisfying, with big chunks of chicken in a coconut sauce. The bar was small but well stocked, with reasonable prices for cocktails. My total bill came to just over $20 without tip, and I had plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day. While the decor could use some sprucing up to provide a more upbeat atmosphere, the overall experience was excellent. I highly recommend trying this restaurant for a great meal. The grilled chicken was superb and the freshly baked naan was delicious. I highly recommend trying the pistachio ice cream and gulab jamun for dessert. The spice level in the medium dishes was just right. The restaurant has ample parking and a friendly staff in a bright room. However, the lamb tandoori was overcooked and the tandoori vegetables were undercooked. It was disappointing to find out that the buffet option is no longer available, as it was unclear online. Overall, the food received a rating of 4, service a 5, and atmosphere a 5.
I would give a rating of 0 out of 10 if I could! I called ahead for pick up and arrived at 7pm. I gave my name to a waiter in the dining room, who rudely commented that my hair was too black. The restaurant had dim lighting and an intimate atmosphere. The waiter, who refused to give his name, made distasteful remarks and took his time giving me my receipt. I paid my bill, grabbed my food, and left. The inappropriate behavior of the waiter towards me, based on my race, was unacceptable. I recommend others to avoid this establishment and choose a different restaurant in Maryland. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
Little hidden gem! All the reviews talk about the great service, and they're right! Everybody was so nice. Steady steam of customers, many seem to be regulars, and a table full of take out orders, but lots of open tables. We're used to paying through the nose at fancy Indian restaurants, so this cozy, unassuming little restaurant was a revelation. Full bar (generous pour on the wine and great food. Spice levels of your choosing. We'll be back....shhh, don't tell too many people: . Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
Greatly disappointed in this dish Clearly not cooked right look a the color/ texture and taste is nothing like Chicken Tikka Masala whats so ever. Tasted very tomatos like sauce with cayenne pepper in it. Where is the yogurt ? No sign of turmeric and barely taste any cumins in it at all. Nann bread was at least made well and tasted good to. Will not be eating here again. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4
