We've been to many other teppanyaki around Melb but at Aya Teppanyaki restaurant was extra special with chef Woosin, he was so funny and hilarious, very professional and...skillful with the salt writing on the cooktop, the foods was great. Thank you chef Woosin for the most entertaining night. Will be back soon.
We moved to Melbourne six months ago haven’t really had a meal that I would rave about that is until now! Rang up about 6pm on a Saturday night they managed to squeeze us in a party of 4). We needed to make...a few changes due to allergies the staff was extremely accommodating. Service was exceptional all night my water glass never stayed empty for too long. The chef was hilarious and great energy the food he prepared was delicious. It isn’t as expensive as other Teppanyaki restaurants which is a other plus. The only downside it’s a small one) is that we were seated in the back room with two large family gatherings either side of us it was hard to hear but once they were gone it was fine.
The food is good with Japanese Sake. Love to watch the chef cooking in front of us and enjoy playing games with the chef. We had So much fun at the dinner!
Great eating and a laughing bo the personal offer a great friendly service eating wagu rindfleisch 9.8/10 prawns 9/10 duck 8.5/10 huh 8.0/10 sashimi tuna 6.5/10 beer could be colder! a total of 8.5/10 thanks for an unforgettable culinary experience
Avoid this place by all means. They cannot even keep/hold their reservations. Worse, they can even get confrontational when you show them your reservation despite that the fact that is a Tuesday evening when the restaurant not even one third full (their attitude is...very curious given the current economic slump that is hitting the Melbourne restaurant business). Clearly, they are not the accommodating types and do not need or care about the business of further clientele.
