Feedback geven.it was really good experience at Glassy Junction The mouthwatering entrees and main course food with a smile on face Me and family loved it Highly recommended
We were went there for dinner and were seated by the window. Fantastic Indian music playing quietly in the background which we thought was great. Service was prompt and friendly without over doing things. We went there on a voucher and l was impressed that they weren't constantly trying to up sell which has happened a few times at other places where l have used vouchers. The food was very nice and l would happily eat there again. I also liked the fact that there was plenty of room for seating and that we weren't packed in like sardines sitting on top of other people.
I had horrible experience on last sunday when we went for dinner. The restaurant had white paper on each table. As soon as my brother sat, he had paper cut from the sharp edge from the sides of the paper, his skin came off and it was hurting him . When he said that to the restaurant manager, he said that none else complained before and walked off. They kept using the paper and there was no sorry or anything about that to fix it. We were also 3 people but I booked for 4 people as my friend was sick so I asked if it would be ok so we could take away the leftovers. The owner in a firm voice argued saying that was not in terms and conditions so then we asked to give our desert and we wanted to go home as was late. He then walked off and did not come back to the table at all. 20 minutes passed, there was no service so then being so frustrated and lack of service we walked off without having any desert at all. I am horrified with this experience and ashamed to take my brother and sis-in-law there. The service was extremely slow as well. And with my brother having paper cut from using paper on their table than cloth, Im so frustrated and ashamed that I took them to such a horrible restaurant. I will never recommend the restaurant to anyone
I know it wasn't very St. Patricks'y Day of us, but last night we ate at GLASSY JUNCTION Indian Restaurant, Dandenong Road, Malvern East.It was a real gamble - 3 course dinner for 2 via Groupon voucher for $29 - WOW what a payout...!!!- We started with a Pappadam and choice of 2 dips..- Then a Samosa and a chunk of Chicken Tikka..- We added a serve of Onion Bhaji [deep-fried spicy battered onion rings], an extra..- Main course: 1 serve Beef Rogan Josh and 1 serve Chicken Butter Cream to share, Saffron Basmati Rice for 2, 1 buttered Roti Bread each..- We ordered 2 buttered Wholemeal Naan Breads, another add-on..- Dessert was 1 serve Gulab Jamun [Indian doughnuts with cardamom syrup] and 1 serve Mango Kulfi [Indian icy ice-cream]..Cost: $29 for set menu plus $26 for extra's inc 2 Lemonades - $55 FOR TWO - How's that..Everything was beautifully cooked and delicious...!!! Truly thoroughly enjoyed it...!!!Can't wait to go again...!!!Visited on Thursday 17 March 2016 for dinner.
The food is delicious. The butter chicken especially stood out from the dishes we tried so far, but their veg food looks really good. Good Uber Eats option too, as curry doesn't mind sitting in a heat bag for a while. The staff are lovely, and they know their stuff. The manager/boss spent ages last time explaining to me the pros and cons of various types of chili for use in Indian cooking. The prices are reasonable in my view, and the quality of the ingredients is pretty good for the cost. I believe the main factor that stops Glassy Junction from being more popular is sub-optimal location and the building its located in, as it doesn't look like it'll be good. I hope they can thrive (hence why I wrote this review TBH), because it's our favourite Indian in the area and we like the people behind it.
