GU.E Korean BBQ - Glen Eira

I typically don't enjoy Korean BBQ restaurants, finding the flavors to be bland and not a fan of kimchi. However, the dishes we tried during both visits to this restaurant surpassed the typical Korean BBQ experience.

The food arrives cold and needs to be reheated. The flavors are dull and blend together, making it hard to distinguish between them. Despite being told it wasn't spicy, it still turned out too spicy for my liking. Overall, the food was unremarkable and I have had better elsewhere. The staff seemed to be constantly walking back and forth, even though the restaurant wasn't busy, which was quite unsettling.

We gathered with some friends for a family dinner at this restaurant. Our group consisted of 2 young children, one teenager, and 4 adults. It was a delightful and one-of-a-kind dining experience as we watched our food being cooked on a grill built into our table. The dishes were not only delicious but also very healthy. The service was excellent.

Grilled pork, chicken or beef, take your pick. Tables with a grill in the middle is lighted once you have made your order and the waitstaff will come around and put the meat onto the grill. They also serve snacks and cold beer. The kimchi and pickles served in little bowls as accompaniment to the meats is delicious and so are the sauces. Only open in the evening till 10pm, this place is run by Koreans. Fantastic service, clean and value for money.

Have been a few times with another couple who are big fans.While the food has always been pretty good the service and price let down this restaurant.If you are very patient and don't mind asking the waiter for the same thing up to four or five times and happy to pay the high prices for the privilege give this place a go.
