Little Blue Restaurant - Glen Eira

We came here after visiting the little penguin sanctuary at St Kilda Pier.We wondered why there was hardly anyone in the restaurant - but now we know.The first problem was that they couldn't even take an order properly in that we ordered 2 children's hamburger meals (just plain burgers - nothing could have been simpler) and ended up with an adult's burger meal and a child's meal.the quality of the meat in the burgers was awful - it had the texture of paste.our two children - normally not picky eaters - refused to eat the meat - so just ate the chips.a portion of sticky chicken wings were ordered - supposedly with sesame seeds on top - there were no sesame seeds - the quality of the chicken itself was the worst ever. we have never tasted such awful food.when we complained they refused to offer any discount on the wings, even though they looked nothing like the picture on their online menu - so be warned.they did offer a refund on one of the childrens meal, but this café is one of the worst we have been to. there is no wonder it was empty - the locals obviously knew better

Staff were helpful and obliging, view of lights is great. A long walk out on pier on a cold winter's night meant we were freezing by the time we arrived. Restaurant was also cool. But the main criticism was of the food. Not great and much on the menu was deep fried. This restaurant may be ok for breakfast in summer. But not for dinner in winter.

Tea and coffee and cakes on a windy afternoon. The tea was fine. The waiter seemed rushed and spilled the coffees in their saucers. Cakes were nice. Staff were friendly.

A great little restaurant on the end of the pier. We only visited for breakfast but ended up going back again on the last day of our tip.Good food, lovely staff and an excellent backdrop make this a good place to pop in for a snack or a meal.

Went here for breakfast and lived it. Great service, coffee, food and atmosphere. Food and coffees came out really quick. Great view of Melbourne city and the St. Kilda coast line.
