What a great taste in the smoke and the ruin. then try the unique sauces and kapow they are in eating heaven. If you are a native chicagoer, the koleslawin with which you grew up is. the mac cheese is full-bodied, creamy and oh so good! the personal is very friendly and the portions are as promised. if they are looking for a great place for wonderful aromen, they trust me this is it. only for the case that you think you're trying them out, they are in lee eddies, compared to trader joe’s in glen ellen.
Found them on google and decided to give them a try. Food was excellent, really liked the mac cheese. the bbq sauce was very flavorful. only thing was they forgot my coke, but that's my fault for not checking. Guy behind the counter was great! across from Tardier Joe's in the strip mall to the east.
Not impressed. The meat was good the sauces were good but the sides tasted like buffet style instant mashed potatoes and way overcooked Mac and cheese. The bread seemed to be stale also. Another customer put a very similar review and now their review has been deleted. Hmmmm. I'll keep a screenshot of mine.
We tried Rt38 BBQ for the first time this evening. Let me start with the staff Scott Melissa were very friendly and Scott the owner was very nice. They gave us a little bit of everything to try and it was all good. I am quite particular about ribs and I always order dry rub pork ribs when trying a place for the first time because you can cover a lot if they are slathered in sauce. These dry rub ribs were really good they have a really good pull off the bone bite. I also tried the brisket and burnt ends. Both were very good. We will certainly be going back frequently. Dan the only thing I will suggest is to better advertise and say exactly where you’re located on rt38. I am a native Glen Ellyner so knew right where you are, but someone looking for you from a different area may struggle a bit t find you. Thanks, can’t wait to go back.
Tried their brisket and rib tips dont bother nothing special here and the brisket was dry. Are only geared for take out I guess so you dont realize the poor quality until you get home. Truly disappointed this new location will not last without a major makeover on food quality and presentation always enjoy a good BBQ but did not find it here.
