Fortune Cafe - Glendale

One of the most horrific dining experiences I have ever had in my life. I seriously thought I was on an episode of a reality show being pranked. As a Gold Member of the casino and a fan of the new Casino I would never have guessed I would have the experience I had. Excited to try the new establishment I am highly disappointed. Greeted by a friendly wait staff and promptly seated in a near empty restaurant on a Wednesday early evening my guest and I decided to dine on the patio. The server was not able to give us any recommendations because she had not tried the food. I feel that is odd that an employee had not tried the food. I understand they are new but a great way to sell items is to be familiar with them. I took a risk and ordered the Steak Pho. The broth taste like coffee. I had my guest try it who also told me my taste buds were not off as it tasted like coffee to him as well. In returning it the server asked to remake it. I decided to try something else which was the chicken tenders and fries. The fries were so greasy ever bite a squirt of oil came from them. Another server came to check on us who told me that the staff got the broth mixed up and used the wrong broth for the soup. Which concerns me as I felt like maybe they mixed up the pot of coffee instead of using the broth pot? My guest egg rolls were not as described on the menu. The menu states Spicy Chicken Egg Rolls. There was not any meat in them. The server told us that was a mistake they only serve Pork Egg Rolls. Which is truly disappointing as my guest does not eat Pork and this truly should be updated on the menu. Either way there was no type of protein in the rolls. The fried rice had no flavor not even soy sauce. The server said you have to ask for soy sauce. It was try and bland. The curry chicken was watered down and too no flavor. We spoke with Rona the manager who was not welcoming or friendly. She truly does not fit the culture of the restaurant. The serving staff admitted the mistakes and apologized. Rona was quick to say they only serve vegetable egg rolls. Well then the menu needs to state this. Then she did not apologize for any of the mess. All she did was make an excuse on everything stating she never heard the complaints we have. The restaurant is brand new so of course she would not have heard this. Either way I will not be back EVER. I understand this is a new establishment but Rona ruined it. Not a way to treat customers. Especially a weekly casino guest.

I gave this five stars because I'm first to review. The place is brand new. The employees don't even know where everything is yet. I ordered a omelette and hash browns it was good and the price was 13 so reasonable the service was good but all new employees so give them time to break into the job. Yes
